Saturday, August 1, 2009 My Angel Foundation is thrilled about our 3rd Annual Paddling for Hope Dragon Boat Races. The mission for the 3rd Annual Paddling for Hope Races remains the same, which is to raise awareness about organ and tissue donation by celebrating and promoting organ and tissue donation! Saturday, September 26, 2009 The Organ Donation: Just Duit 5K & 10K Walk and Run on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at the S.C.O.R.E. Recreation Facility in Nevada, Iowa, is a memorial run for Ashlie Duit, a 21 year old woman who tragically died due to complications of hemodialysis while waiting for a kidney transplant. Ashlie was a daughter, a sister and a friend to many. She was deeply loved and is greatly missed. Her transplant, from a living donor, was schedule to take place less than one month after her death.
