My Angel Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated toward inspiring others to spread hope through compassion by providing support to individuals impacted by organ and tissue donation, educating the public about the importance and facts of organ and tissue donation, and promoting volunteerism by connecting individuals with organizations that support their passions.
Join the crusade - the Celebrate Life Relay will spread awareness about organ and tissue donation as 54 runners cover a 315-mile course over 48 continuous hours, crossing the state of Iowa. The relay takes place April 16-18, starting near the Missouri River and ending near the Mississippi River. Runners will travel through 39 towns, including Council Bluffs, Des Moines, Iowa City and Davenport.
April is National Donor Awareness Month. Show your support by running a relay leg - 3-mile, 6-mile, 10-mile or 15-mile segments are available for runners to choose from. Or choose a mile or more to sponsor along the route.
On Saturday, May 1, 2010, join hundreds of individuals in one of the fastest growing and most inspiring run and walks in Iowa to spread awareness about the importance of organ and tissue donation by commemorating the lives of organ and tissue donors, celebrating the lives of organ and tissue recipients, and recognizing the lives of those waiting for a lifesaving transplant! Over 500 runners and walkers participated in last year's run and walk.
Whether you run, walk, wheel, volunteer, cheer or make a charitable donation, it's a great way to support this life-changing cause.
This story begins in the summer of 2005, as we packed up our U-Haul and readied our little family (it was only Nate and Kim at the time) for our new lives in Iowa. We had been married for two and half years at this point and were ready for a change…a big change. As we waved goodbye to Utah – the mountains, the dry climate, the best snow on earth – and said hello to Iowa – flat terrain, corn, humidity, blistering cold – we never would have guessed how drastically our lives were about to change.
My Angel Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that consists of passionate individuals who are dedicated to the promoting and celebrating organ and tissue donation, supporting transplant recipients, and encouraging others to spread hope through compassion. Without the many that support us, we would not be able to attain the goals of the foundation.
